DEUTSCH offers two contact types: solid and stamped & formed, both for crimp termination (no soldering needed/recommended).Crimping displaces wire strands for a superior wire-contact bond.Available tools (for hand/production crimping, wire insertion/removal, wedgelock removal) are specific to each contact type.Recommended tools are required for proper crimping and optimal performance.
